[Ratchet's optics fell to the damage, remembering quite clearly just how it had been dealt. For him, it was only minutes earlier. But for Ironhide to have dealt with such a blatant gap in his defenses for months...

His expression darkened, fingers gently touching the jagged edges of the plating.]

Based on my recollection of events, I had already begun examining your injuries.

[And what he remembered was the wound being in worse shape - It certainly verified the time span that Ironhide had been talking about.]

[Gentle as the medic is, Ironhide can't help but hiss as the injury is examined. It's still sore -- still causing a lot of problems. But it's better than it was. And it's not on fire any longer, which is important.]

[The hiss is enough to make Ratchet draw his hand away, leaning in closer to visually examine the damage. He expected it would still be causing pain, but from his experience with the Weapons Master... The old fool would sooner turn off the sensory input than deal with the issue.]

[He grumbles, but doesn't otherwise protest the proximity, or the study. He's used to this. It's familiar, almost relaxing, in its own way. Something he's so completely used to, he could be anywhere and relax, once Ratchet started taking care of things.]
