I want my squad to meet me on the top deck for assessment. Now. This is not a request. If you do not show up, I will remove you from the team. Simple as that.

You will also report to Hannibal King. Treat him as my second. If I hear of disrespect, I will not tolerate it, and you will be disciplined.

Bumblebee, this is foolish. You are smarter than this! She is no trained warrior! Letting her go with you puts her in danger.

Do you have any idea what this ship is capable of!

She can either go with one of us and be somewhat protected, or she can go without one of us and be completely vulnerable.

You know she'd do it, too.

She is being ridiculous! She has no training for this. Civilains are a liability in combat unless they know how to operate. And she does not.

This boat already took her life twice! She should know better!

I know, I know. But she's also headstrong enough to go out on her own, which would be much worse than if she was with one of us.

Plus...if we can somehow improvise some tools or something and I teach her, she might be able to do some basic repairs. That would free Ratchet up for tending to you.

Did you even try to talk sense into her? Threaten to tie her down? She is not being sensible about this... Boat can take us all down... Best to leave it for the soldiers.

She is capable of doing basic repairs off the battlefield. Probably better at it off than on. And Ratchet is the Autobot medic, Bumblebee. He looks after us all. Why would he only work on me?

Her being an in-field mechanic was talking sense into her. At least that way she'll stay behind me instead of beside me.

She needs something to do. She's young and she wants to be useful; telling her that staying hidden and quiet is the way she can be most useful will hurt her, and she won't accept it anyway. You know what that's like.

[After all, look at Bumblebee.]

We can't keep watch on her all the time, and in order to make sure she doesn't run off in a desperate attempt to prove she's capable I needed to find a middle ground. Being my mechanic was it.

Besides...you need Ratchet more than I do. And I happen to like Mikaela.

[Ironhide doesn't answer right away. He wants to snap at 'Bee, and inform him further of how bad an idea he thinks this is. But the logic is there, as much as he doesn't want to admit it.

Never said I disliked her. But I fail to see the need to assign us separate medics. Ratchet has looked after more than just two of us before.

I know. Trust me, I wish human reasoning defaulted to logic too, but you and I both know they just don't work like that. Especially the young ones.

[Bumblebee will not, however, inform Ironhide that the reason he wants Ratchet free for Ironhide is because Ironhide is old. He's not quite that reckless.]

[He sighs - he really does not like this plan. But, admittedly, 'Bee knows Mikaela best. She still confuses Ironhide to no end.]
