Stupid to ask if anyone is hearing things. I want to know instead what we intend to do about it.

I assume you're referring to the former crew you encountered. Given what you told me, it wouldn't be a surprise. However, they are not the only ones trapped below.

No, I'm referring to another deck, one I suspect you did not go on. A companion and I encountered a group of people there who seemed similar to some sort of animal. They did not speak the language we speak, but our communicators could translate their text. They seemed friendly enough, but Ashelin and I ran out of time before we could hear their tale.
It could be them we are hearing. It could be another group that neither of us saw. Who knows how large this ship is or who else is trapped on board?

All I know is that they apparently breathe a different atmosphere and that their first response when we established communication was one of curiosity and welcome. They asked if we were new, so I don't think they were aware that there are others on the ship.
