30th Transmission - Semi-Open

[He had come to a conclusion. A conversation needed to be had. About... certain things. And he needed to do it now, before he lost his nerve.

Unfortunately, Ratchet wasn't in his room. Either of their rooms. Nor was he in the library, or the caves. Or the forest.

... How hard could it possibly be to find one neon Autobot? Especially on this boat?

Eventually, he winds his way up to the top deck, spending a moment staring out over the water, before heading toward the mini-golf course. Maybe the medic would be there.]

[His babbling actually made Ratchet smile, leaning closer against his back. This was the only situation that would ever make the larger mech so flustered, and it was actually a little... endearing.]

I am happy with what I get.

I am well aware that your social skills are not your strong point - Were it any different, you would not be you. I prefer you as you are, thick-head and all.

[He leans against him, his engine kicking on with a soft purr, his own optics shuttered.]

Then we will find a way to make it work.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-03-31 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course.

[He moves his other hand up to hold Ironhide's other shoulder, rumbling gently. This was comfortable - It just seemed natural, as though they fit.]

Just do not expect me to go any easier on you, if you get your aft slagged.

[He ran his hand over the curve of his shoulder armor, mentally noting each indent and scar. After all, he'd been the one to weld the majority of them.]

Most likely - So keep that in mind, before you go and do anything stupid.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-03 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
[He noticed the move, and stroked the metal lightly with his thumb, tracing the line of one of the deeper scars.]

Then now would be a good time to start.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-07 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
[He continues to gently stroke his armor, pleased with the purring.]

Mmhmm.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-07 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[His scanners are on high alert - if anyone were around, Ratchet would pick up some sign before they could stumble upon them. Not that Ironhide would realize it.]

Doctor's touch.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-07 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Ratchet tilts his head slightly into the hand, his engine purring steadily.]

I should hope not. I am not fond of sharing my patients - I suppose I should trust my colleagues, but I prefer a more... personal approach.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-07 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
[He is certainly pleased with that, rumbling contentedly.]

Good.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-07 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[He smiles, shuttering his optics for a moment.]

I would say you already have a good understanding, then. So long as you do not expect me to share and you continue doing that, I think that we will make this work well.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-09 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[He reaches a hand up to place it over Ironhide's, squeezing it gently.]

You have a softer touch than I would have thought, considering.

But if you continue doing that, I may not let you leave my quarters.

[identity profile] medicalofficer.livejournal.com 2010-04-10 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
I would not have imagined it, based on observation. It's a pleasant surprise.

[He lets his own hand fall away, moving to rest it on Ironhide's side. He didn't want to control his exploration - if that was what he chose to do.]

... I can think of a few ways of doing so.
