18th Transmission -- Open Commentlog

[The sound of fireworks exploding can be heard in the background, along with the usual accompaniment of shifting metal. And the occasional, short laugh. Ironhide sounds amused when he speaks, in contrary to what he's saying.]

They really think these are fireworks? Give me my cannons back... I will show them fireworks.

[He pauses, chuckling to himelf.]

Guess it could be worse...

[He's up on the upper deck, like everyone else, occupying a secluded section of the rail, and leaning heavily against a nearby wall, should anyone desire to pester him.]

[ A particular neon Autobot settles against the rail next to him, quiet despite his build. He'd long ago perfected the art of stealth - at least when it came to approaching his patients - far too many chases around the base had adapted him to it.

He chuckles as his optics follow the miniature explosions in the sky, nudging the other lightly. ]

I believe these were meant to be less destructive than your particular brand of fireworks.

I'd like to see your version of fireworks, Ironhide. [Look who showed up! Yay! She leans on the rail next to him with a smile.]

But these are pretty in the meantime.

[She leans on the rail and lets out a laugh.]

Well, I'm sure there was a valid reason for that.

My apologies.

[ He frowned but leans back against the side of the boat, shoving him back lightly. The entire situation was uncomfortable, but that didn't make him unwilling to make an effort. ]

You do have a certain talent for explosions.

[A certain spy has found his own spot (hopefully) out of range of potential pounding, and only throws a glance or two skyward.]

I have my doubts that the captain would appreciate your particular brand, I'm afraid.

[identity profile] shockedlogic.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
I am quite capable of assuming it.

[Then he's gotten lucky for the time being.]

Tests are not required when the hypothesis's result can be deduced from previous information.

To understand him, one simply needs understand that - beyond a certain few responses - the captain is not understandable at all. [He is going to embrace the crazy as logically as possible.]

And that had he been in the mood for your particular fireworks display, he would have left us with our weaponry.

[identity profile] chopshopgoddess.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[She gapes at him.]

You...you set a cow on fire?!

[identity profile] chopshopgoddess.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[She burst into laughter.]

Holy crap! No wonder Will wouldn't let you do it anymore!

[identity profile] chopshopgoddess.livejournal.com 2010-01-03 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
[She can't stop giggling.]

I can't believe you set a cow on fire!

[identity profile] shockedlogic.livejournal.com 2010-01-04 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
It does not, beyond allowing one the reasonable assumption that he will not act in a predictable manner.

If this ship has been under his captaincy for more than one voyage, I am fairly certain he does know.

You, on the other servo, are painfully predictable.

If you say so.
