14th Transmission

I grow tired of listening to constant lies regarding the state of our homeworlds. Been asked why this... crew... would lie to us. When they stated they would not.

[He snorts]

I ask why they would not.

They wish to keep us here, hmn? Must have been a lot of work to gather us all... why would they want us to slip away? To look for an escape? Waste of all their efforts. Best to keep your prisoners compliant... when there are so many more of them than there are guards. Or, shall I say... crew?

I do not believe their story. Not asking anyone to agree with me, I do not care if you do or do not.

Just saying.

[And the comm clicks off.]

That makes two of us, then.

I don't know if I should be impressed or insulted, really.

[King laughs.] I knew that, buddy. But thanks anyway.

Suppose we'll have to keep our eyes and ears open.

....Frog business? [King's been skulking the posts, but he's missed the golden frog stuff.]

The crew might not be entirely human, but they'll slip up eventually. Patience is a virtue. [One King has, but rarely indulges in.]

[...Wat.] I think I share your skepticism there... But then again, differing cultures and all that.

[There's an edge to King's voice when he speaks next.] I don't know about you, but I don't know any normal humans that can use their mind to pin you. [Meth's telekinesis strikes him as off. As does this whole thing.]</i.

Maybe they want to lick them.

[King pauses to consider his words.] When I first got here, I... may have pissed off one of the crew members. An invisible force held me down when she was 'educating' me about my manners, which I'm pretty sure was her. Telekinesis, you know?

[identity profile] hadalotofsugar.livejournal.com 2009-12-12 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know. Some types of frogs and toads give you a high if you lick them, supposedly.

[King lets out a small uncomfortable chuckle.] That chick named Meth. She didn't take too kindly to my nickname for her, and she held me in place while she educated me. Considering she didn't lay a hand on me while she was doing so...

[identity profile] hadalotofsugar.livejournal.com 2009-12-14 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
I never said it was palatable, did I?

Well, avoid her if you can, is my advice. As for the other crew I have no idea, but I would assume they're not normal either.

[As if a former vampire can speak of normal.]

[identity profile] hadalotofsugar.livejournal.com 2009-12-14 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'll have you know that I generally don't ingest everything I can get my hands on...

...That's a good question. [King doesn't have the resources to test it, though.] But as much as I'm a sucker for punishment, I don't think I want to volunteer to piss her off again.

I don't think I have any kids.

Short, blue eyes, blonde hair, surly attitude?

Good, you gave me a heart attack there for a second. [His tone is entirely teasing, though it may be lost on Ironhide.]

Calling her 'sweetheart' is a quick way to piss her off, too. Though I don't imagine you'll be going that route. [Ironhide sounds big. And robot-y.]
