[Semi-open Comment Log]
[Following this conversation, a certain weapons master has stomped out of his room, headed down the halls for a certain neon medic's.
He was just hung up on. He was just hung up on. Why? What was wrong with the medic?
The stingers from the bees were in one hand. If anything, he could make a peace offering. He was fighting with Mikaela off and on, there were too many Decepticons, and now his closest friend just hung up on him.
He reached the door, and pounded on it.]
Open up.
((ooc: Anyone can accost him on his little march down the hallway ^^))

First, attempting to spar that metal female when he still had been unable to patch his previous wound. He had been distracted from his hunt for tools, however, it wasn't as though they were common supplies... Cutters capable of actually working with Ironhide's armor were few and far between.
He growled to himself as he put the communicator away, expecting a currently unwanted visitor to show up momentarily. He had half a mind to ignore the sound at the door.
Needed protecting. Honestly.]
It is not locked.

He all but stormed in, glaring across the room, arms folded over the hole in his chest. Disapproval radiated from every inch of black armor. This was ridiculous. Bickering over an open line like that.]
What is the matter with you?
no subject
I was not aware that telling my patients what is best was an issue for a medic.
[His tone was even and icy, his optics narrowed. He was just as disapproving as Ironhide, if a little... quieter about it.]
no subject
... I always tell you that. Never bothered you before.
[The tone made him look away. They weren't supposed to talk to each other like that. He shifted on his feet, cycling out a sigh.]
no subject
Because here, I do not have the means to fix you if anything happens.
[He regretted it the moment he said it, crossing his arms in his annoyance. He could already feel his anger melting away, and he struggled to hold onto it.
It irritated him to think that Ironhide did not consider him able to take care of himself - especially when he was incapable of carrying out the one function he was most adept in.]

[It didn't make him feel that great either. He was so used to relying on the medic for every little thing. It was frightening, if he wanted to be honest--to have the one thing that had always been so stable suddenly be... taken away.
And to have no tools, no nothing, meant Ratchet lacked defenses. At least, in his mind. That worried him.]
So... what? You want me to quit reminding you or something? Should just tell me to my face. Hate this... guessing... thing.
no subject
[His efforts to recapture his aggravation failed, leaving him sounding tired and frustrated.]
no subject
... Going to have to define pointless. Risks I take... do not see them as "pointless". Supposed to look after others. You know that.
Function is not pointless, Doc'. Is yours?
no subject
What point is there in sparring with a woman, when you do not know what she is capable of?
My function is to keep you around to complete yours. I can't do that when you refuse to listen to me.
no subject
... She was irritating me. [Not much of an excuse, but it was an excuse.]
You... [a pause. He wasn't sure what to say.] Yeah. I know. But do you expect me to "take it easy" when there are Decepticon threats around?
no subject
I expect you not to engage unless necessary - That woman is not a Decepticon.
no subject
... So you will allow me to engage the Decepticons? What of organics who threaten us? Threaten Mikaela? Hmn?
[He can guess the answer - but he just has to ask. Can't repeat this performance, after all.]
no subject
If you are looking for my approval, I will not give it, Ironhide. You are perfectly capable of defending yourself, but you are at a disadvantage in this state.
[Which was largely his fault. If he could find a way to complete his damned function, this wouldn't be such an issue.]
no subject
[He shifted, giving the other's shoulder a shove. He knew that tone.]
My fault I took a missile strike. Their fault they took your tools. Understand me?
[He'd be happy to be a focus of misdirected anger, so long as that was what it was. So long as the medic quit being mad at himself. Which was what he believed was the case.]
no subject
[Even if it meant cooperating with that foolish engineer, Ratchet didn't think he would mind if it meant he could procure something, anything to feel like he was doing something useful.
Being unable to do anything but sit on his aft was frustrating beyond belief, particularly when his closest friend had more weapons than processor.]
no subject
[If he couldn't do that, he'd be lost. He can't... really imagine how Ratchet felt about things. Probably wasn't making it any easier, though, all things given. He gave Ratchet another shove, hoping to get his attention.]
Look. We... we will get you some tools, all right? Somehow. Hate seeing you sulk like this.
no subject
[He reaches out to nudge the other lightly in return, tilting his head slightly at the other.]
I know we will. It is just... frustrating, as you well know, to be unable to properly perform your duty.
no subject
[Lightly isn't good enough. He shoves him back, a little harder - shoving matches are good, normal. The boat isn't changing that.]
... Yeah, I know. You are... you holding up... all right? Most part?
[He's not entirely sure what he's asking, or why. He worries the other isn't dealing with this so well, and doesn't know what to do.]
no subject
I did. Would you have preferred to argue on an open link?
[The question gave him a moment's pause, but he nodded.]
There is no reason to worry. Any of my current troubles... are not anything that can't be fixed. Once I have some working equipment, I will be fine.
no subject
Would have preferred warning. That is all.
[A nod of his own.]
Good. Just going to have to work harder to find them, hmn?
no subject
[The pressure seemed to lift as the mood lightened, and he nudged him again. This was far better than waiting to berated for his actions, even if they had not been the most appropriate.
Not that he intended to back down from his point, but that did not matter for the moment.]
Yes. I believe I will have to speak to that human engineer, no matter how distasteful it may be... Telling him how to do my duty. Honestly...
no subject
[He gave him another shove, putting a little more weight into it. Berating Ratchet was... weird. It was supposed to be the other way around. Even if the medic was being a fool.]
... You want me to come with you?
[And if this engineer gave his medic any trouble... well. It never hurt to have a little show of force.]
no subject
I would appreciate the company.
[... And the firepower.]
no subject
Coming, then. Just had to ask.
no subject
Of course. I know I can count on you.
no subject
Yeah. Even if you are angry with me, hmn?
no subject
Yes. Simply because I am angry, does not mean I stop trusting you.
no subject
Good. Old fool.
no subject
...'Hide?
no subject
Mikaela.
no subject
Um. Are you okay? You're stomping pretty loud.
no subject
I am... irritated. Ratchet is behaving senselessly.
no subject
...What did he do? [She missed this.]
no subject
He will not allow me to spar with a human. We... argued.
no subject
Why doesn't he want you to spar with a human?
no subject
That is what I would like to know.
no subject

no subject
[She just cares, Ironhide.]
no subject
[He doesn't see anything wrong with this. He's made of metal. Organics go squish.]
no subject
We...just don't want you hurt more, is all.
no subject
[rolls his shoulders, glowering at her.]
I will heal.
no subject
Your chest is still all messed up.
