... What have you all done to get yourselves handcuffed?  Have I missed some large-scale brawl?  Why was I not informed?

There doesn't seem to be any reason to it - no pattern that I can see. I mean, for some of us I could hypothesize that it's an attempt to keep the peace, though why it's been decided to do such a thing now would still be under question, simply because it's never been done before.

Not even to mention that some of the passengers who have announced their captivity don't seem to have any motive for violence or destruction, which essentially disproves that entire idea.

Leo's been by already, and neither of us can pick it, and from the sounds of the network attempts at tearing them off haven't ended much better. I don't think it's possible.
